What is Frontpage?

How do I play?
Choose a redacted word and guess it from the headline, category, and letters already revealed on the board. In regular mode you have 9 guesses total. You start with 2 hints and earn another for each word you solve. Optional hard mode gives you 6 guesses and no hints.
Can I give up and reveal the answers?
Yes. Use “Give up & reveal” to end your solo game and see the remaining answers. If you've solved at least one word before giving up, your streak is kept.
Can I play with friends?
Yes — hit "Phone a friend" to get an invite link. Up to 3 friends can join your edition: you all see the same board, your friends get 5 guesses each to help, and your win is shared. It's the same puzzle, solved together.
Can I play past editions?
Yes. Every published edition stays playable — open the Past Editions list to catch up on any day you missed, or revisit ones you've already beaten.
